A simple take on Halo Halo with a different flavor profile! Topped with a no-churn from scratch Black Sesame Ice cream and paired with fresh sweet summer strawberries and nata de coco. Halo-halo is a favorite summertime dessert, with its origins from the Philippines. In Tagalog, Halo Halo means "mix-mix," and while each recipe may vary in components and ingredients, the end result is usually the same: lots of flavor, contrasting textures, and refreshing until the last bite.
It’s a minimalist Halo Halo lover's dream. The crunch is in the black sesame butter, so you get everything ticked off: the cold, the textures, the deep earthiness of black sesame and a burst of freshness from the strawberries. Try it out!
Pro-tip: While it's tempting to eat each layer separately, it's best eaten after mixing it all together.

Directions
To make Black Sesame Ice Cream
Mix together the condensed milk, Rooted Fare Black Sesame Crunchy Butter and salt in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until nice and stiff. It will take about 10 minutes by hand or 2 minutes using a mixer.
Take one tablespoon of the whipped cream and mix it into the black sesame mixture to lighten a bit. Then fold in the rest of the whipped cream in 2 batches until it’s nice and smooth, but still fluffy. Don’t over mix.
Pour into a container you can put in the freezer. Leave to freeze overnight.
