Our Story:  With all 3 children grown up, done with school and flown the nest, Romy & Rose decided in 2017 it was time to retire, sell the house, downsize, and hit the road to see the world.  It was on one of those trips that they discovered bean-to-bar craft chocolate.  For Romy, who grew up with cacao trees in neighbors' backyards in his hometown in Liliw, Laguna, it was an opportunity to learn and work on something new.  With the Banahaw Mountain Cacao brand (https://www.banahawmountaincacao.com) they hope to help cacao farmers in Romy's hometown produce high-quality fine-flavored cacao beans that craft chocolate makers are looking for.  Encouraged by many doors opening to them, Romy & Rose found the path leading them to the creation of Solihiya Chocolate, a Filipino brand for excellent craft chocolate made possible by cacao farmers' hard work.
