The sun is beaming and temperatures are rising. Summer is officially here! And while the children are running through sprinklers on the lawn, we tend to scramble to look for the perfect treat to keep ourselves (and the kids) cool.
Then after quickly searching the internet, we find the perfect treat. Imagine the looks on our kids' faces as they make their way indoors--water dripping from their clothes--to find huge bowls of Halo-Halo, or Filipino shaved ice, waiting to be devoured.
While there are a wide variety of recipes out there, our recipe is inspired by Chef Isa Fabro, who debuted a high energy version of Halo-Halo for the Coachella Music Festival in 2016.

*For the adults, try substituting evaporated milk with coconut milk and adding RedBull for an energy boost.
